Jerry Teo is a highly regarded HR professional, having spent a significant part of his career in the field of HR management. He has held senior appointments in his illustrious career and was the HR Principal for Deloitte & Touche LLP in Singapore and also the Head of HR for Deloitte South East Asia, which boasts of having 180 partners and employing some 4,000 employees. He was the first HR professional to ever been admitted as a partner in an international public accounting firm. Prior to that, he was the Head of HR for 3M in Singapore, where he successfully championed and provided the leadership in the organisation¡¯s change efforts.

Jerry¡¯s 25 years¡¯ experience in the retail, hospitality, manufacturing, property and financial sectors has imbued in him an astute understanding of HR practices in the various industries. In his career he had successfully developed and delivered HR strategies and programmes which resulted in the organisations he served being regarded employers of choice.

Jerry holds a Master of Science (Training) from the University of Leicester and is a certified Industrial Relations professional with the Institute of Works Managers in UK. He is also a Certified Trainer for Investment in Excellence, Trainer Manager Programmes and a licensed Psychometric Administrator for SHL and Thomas DISC. He has very close affiliation with the Ngee Ann Polytechnic, having served as an external examiner for several years and since his retirement is now an Adjunct Lecturer in the School of Business. Jerry was the Chairman of the Industrial Relations Panel for the Professional Services Group which has some 400 professional services and publication-related companies. He was also a member of the Employers Panel with the Industrial Arbitration Court.

Jerry has delivered public talks on Performance Management, Change Management and Strategic Human Resource Management in major conferences and is a well-sought-after speaker. He has been involved in several consulting engagements ranging from the conduct of HR audits, development and delivery of performance management systems to development of job evaluation systems and delivering of learning interventions to client organisations to meet their specific needs.

Jerry has been an Adjunct Lecturer with the Singapore Human Resources Institute for the Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management programme since 1990. He lectures in Industrial Relations, Human Resource Management and Reward Management.
