TRAINER: Khor Ling Ling

Ling is a Senior HR professional and certified Global Remuneration Professional. She has been in the HR arena for close to 2 decades and had spent the last 10 years lecturing, training and facilitating workshops, seminars and lectures to working adults from all walks of life. She specialises in Compensation & Benefits, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Job Evaluation, Salary Structures, Scanning the Business Environment and Problem-Solving Skills. She is well respected for being able to incorporate actual life experiences to help learners conceptualise theories in real life. In her years of being a trainer, she has been able to influence and inspire learners to pursue their dreams and discover their hidden potential. 

Ling was the Deputy Director with Changi General Hospital. She was in charge of overseeing the various compensation and benefits challenges faced by the 6,000 staff. During her stint, she spearheaded several compensation reviews for the healthcare professionals’ jobs, covering Doctors, Nurses, Allied Health Professionals, Ancillary and administrative jobs.  She led a team of in-house and final year students from the university to transform the hospital traditional benefits into a Flexible Benefits programme and she was subsequently deployed to mentor other Hospitals in this new initiative.

Ling was the Industrial Relation officer representing the hospital to liaise with one of the strongest unions, known as HSEU, in Singapore. She had led a total of 16 rounds of salary negotiation, job redesign and salary restructuring.  Ling has in-depth knowledge on local Employment Act, Union matters and managing employee grievances. Earlier in her career, Ling had worked in Mercer Human Resource Consulting, where she set up the Third Part Benefits Outsourcing framework for a foreign bank of 10,000 staff in Singapore. SHe had also spent time working in Siemens, Certis Cisco and Parkway Pantai.

Ling is an IHRP-SP and SHRM-SCP, and has successfully completed the Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA).
